Chapsticks will encompass some of these ideas, specifically those drawn from my experiences as a Chaplain intern. If this seems derivative of xkcd, it is, believe me. My saving grace is that Chaplain Humor is a concept that Randal Munroe has left almost completely unexplored.
Before anyone asks, no, this didn't happen. (I never charted.) And yes, "Boo-yah" is a medical term. Ask any nurse.
Not everyone does this, but for a lot of people, the chaplain walking in means the worst has either happened or is currently happening. I'm not sure why that is, maybe it's the "I care and I'm listening" looks on our faces...
Now, so far, all of the Residents have been nothing but nice and helpful to us interns. But I'm too cynical to believe that this isn't at least //partially// true.
